What is HealCo?
HealCo is a healthcare governance company that builds contract-aware Control Tower infrastructure for employer health plans.
The initial engagement establishes a historical baseline and assesses the scope for ongoing monitoring and opportunity review.
Decision Desk and Maestro form the broader governance and routing architecture.
HealCo has two components
Decision Desk, where the plan sponsor's rules are configured, and Maestro, the routing and execution layer that applies them and holds case state.
Existing roles stay in place
HealCo overlays the existing stack rather than replacing any part of it, and the PPO remains fallback rather than being displaced.
An output, not the product
The governance decision record is an output, not the product. HealCo is not an audit firm, a navigation vendor, a marketplace, a network, a TPA or a care manager.
Cost in employer-sponsored healthcare is created at entry and managed at the claim, months too late to change anything
That is visible from inside a hospital in a way it is not from inside a benefits department.

Kirat Kharode
Kirat Kharode spent roughly two decades in hospital C-suite roles, most recently as EVP and Chief Strategy Officer at a multi-hospital system, and co-founded a care organization acquired in 2018. He holds a JD in health law and an MPH in health finance.
From the delivery side, the pattern is obvious: the plan's money is committed by a decision the plan never saw, made before anyone was authorized, scheduled or billed.
HealCo governs that decision.
Neutrality
HealCo does not accept placement commissions or overrides and does not earn percentage-of-savings, recovery or denial economics on placements it analyzes.
HealCo does not take an economic interest in which vendor a governed pathway routes to.
Corporate
HealCo Inc. is a Delaware C-corporation and holds the intellectual property. The company's operating proof is referred to as the reference direct-to-employer deployment.
Frequently asked questions
Does HealCo replace our TPA, carrier, network or broker?
No. All of them stay. HealCo sits above them and governs how the plan's rules are applied at the entry point.
Does HealCo adjudicate claims?
No. It acts before the claim exists.
Does HealCo make clinical decisions?
No. Clinical judgment stays with treating providers. HealCo applies the plan sponsor's approved administrative rules about where care begins.
Do members lose access to their existing benefits?
No. The existing network is preserved as fallback.
Is this navigation?
Navigation presents options and depends on the member choosing to engage. Governed routing applies the plan's approved rule at the decision point, creates a default next step, preserves fallback and records what happened.
Do we have to change our plan or replace anything to start?
No. The first engagement begins with the administrative agreements and available data and returns an applicability determination. Sometimes that determination is that governance is not indicated.
Does HealCo guarantee savings?
No. HealCo applies an entry rule, routes the case, and records the governance decision. It does not guarantee financial or clinical outcomes.
